This site

No cookies. No analytics of any kind, self-hosted or otherwise. No fonts, images, scripts or embeds loaded from anywhere else. Every byte comes from the program serving the page.

Most pages run no scripts at all, and send a header telling your browser to refuse any that appear. Pages with an interactive chart load one script and one WebAssembly module, both from this domain, and their header allows those and nothing else. Read the Content-Security-Policy header on any page to see which kind you are on.

Links off this site send no referrer, so the destination is not told where you came from.

What is logged

The web server records the time, the page requested, and the IP address that requested it. Logs are deleted after 30 days, and no backup of them lasts longer than that.

We keep the IP address because it is the only thing that makes a denial-of-service attack or a scripted abuse campaign traceable. It is a real cost to your privacy. It is used for nothing else and never joined to a forum account.

The forum

The forum runs on a different machine and has accounts, so it knows more: a pseudonym, an email address, and what you post. It has no privacy notice of its own yet, and stays shut until it does.

Accounts hold a pseudonym, whether you have passed an age check, and which groups you are in. No legal names. Age checks are run by a third party who send us a yes or a no; your documents never reach us.
